COVID-19

With increasing news and concern regarding the COVID-19 coronavirus, North Harbour Mazda would like to reassure you that we are following the expert guidance and advise of the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Ministry of Health in New Zealand. Our people are at the heart of everything we do. We are taking simple precautionary measures to maintain a safe environment for all our customers and staff. These measures include:

  • Retail staff have been advised to refrain from any forms of physical greetings, such as handshakes;
  • Sanitiser and disposable wipes are available at all customer-facing locations throughout the business;
  • We are routinely cleaning all frequently touched surfaces in the workplace, such as workstations, countertops, phones, keyboards and doorknobs;
  • All technicians are using protective sheets and gloves when in a customer’s car and sanitary precautions are in place for handling keys, car surfaces and door handles.
  • If desired, shipping of parts and accessories can be arranged;
  • Internally, we have reiterated to our staff the importance of hygiene and have put in place flexible sick leave
  • policies. We have a policy requiring that any staff who show signs of a fever, or other sickness, are to self-isolate and remain at home.

At this stage, we are open for business as usual. However, in these uncertain and fast-moving times, we understand that an increasing number of people will revert to staying home, self-isolating, practising social-distancing and generally being more cautious about face-to-face interactions with others.

Considering this, we are offering non-contact purchasing and test drive options. We are happy to bring any vehicle to your home or workplace so that you can evaluate the vehicle within your own environment. In addition to this, we are also offering sight-unseen delivery to all of our customers with a 48-hour money back guarantee if the vehicle is not as described upon arrival.

If requested, our sales staff will supply around-vehicle video content, sharing information they usually would during a face-to-face interaction; zooming in on the infotainment display, demonstrating the auto lift tailgate, and highlighting the detailing of the panel work or alloy wheels.

While these are testing times for all kiwis, we will continue to facilitate flexible options for our customers, with their health, safety and wellbeing as our highest priority.
